Cinco DeMayo celebration in Denver started as a street festival on Santa Fe Drive as a development action to support the Lincoln Park neighborhood and the Santa Fe Drive corridor in 1968.

But the 5 de Mayo event got so popular and so big that it was moved to the Civic Center Park in 1995.

There are over 200 booths with Mexican food and mexican hat sombreros vendors, cinco de mayo t-shirts and crafs, and lots of beer and tequila, and margaritas, and guacamole…

Cinco de Mayo at Denver is a great cultural experience, it’s the largest cultural event in state of Colorado. It is a family event.

The 5 de Mayo event at San Diego is called the Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo, and more than one hundred thousand people come to celebrate the Mexican culture day at the old part of the city. Music, Mexican food and even the traditional mexican Luchas make San Diego Mexican again for a weekend. Many mexicans from across the border in Tijuana join the celebrations.

The Cinco de Mayo at the West Side of St Paul Minnesota is another great to spend the 5 de mayo celebration. It also goes on the whole weekend, with food booths, mexican music, taco contests and even “el grito contest”. El grito is a famous phrase pronounced by Mexican founding father Hidalgo, at the beginning of the Mexican Independence revolution.

San Antonio was a Mexican territory for well more time than an American city, so the hispanic traditions in San Antonio are well under the skin.
